Rear wrap is blank. Light to moderate scattered foxing to contents. Light creases to right side of front wrap. Archival tape repair verso of front wrap. Edmund Ruffin was considered the father of modern scientific agronomy. He was a radical advocate of State's Rights. Legend records he fired the first shot at Fort Sumter at the start of the Civil War. He committed suicide in 1865 shortly after the War rather then reconcile with the Union.
