This document concerns a Deed of Conveyance "between William Spencer & Elizabeth Spencer on one part and Stephen Barfield of the other part..." The indenture describes the 640 acre tract in Williamson County sold to Stephen Barfield. Deed is recorded June 4th, 1813 and registered in "Book C 354." Deed signed by Wm Spencer, Elizabeth Spencer, William Peachy & Peter Potts on page 2. Signed at the end of page 3 by "Nicholas Scales Register of Williamson County." Stephen Barfield signed his name on page 4 with written price? calculated on the paper. The second section of page 4 is signed by W. Hardeman. Early land document for Williamson County. Fair condition.

Ancestry contains records for Elizabeth Spencer from Williamson County plus another reference in a cemetery in Williamson County. There is a record for William Spencer but it is not verified that he is same person on the document. Ancestry records Stephen Barfield and his father Jesse Barfield. Jesse Barfield was killed in the American Revolution battle of Camden, South Carolina in August 1780. His son Stephen Barfield served during the Revolution in Wilmington in 1780. He died at Spencer's Creek, Williamson county, Tennessee 1820.
