Crawford Long (November 1, 1815 – June 16, 1878) was an American surgeon and pharmacist and was credited with the the first use of inhaled sulfuric ether as an anesthetic. The author Joseph Jacobs was a pharmacist and owned Jacob's Pharmacy in Atlanta in the latter 18800's. Jacob's Pharmacy served the first glass of Coca-Cola to the public in 1886. The inventor of the drink was John Pemberton who by 1891 had sold his receipe to Asa Griggs Candler Atlanta businessman. Very good. Item #36247
