First piece, dated September 14 1883, is an illustrated, printed, and handwritten document measuring approximately 8.5" x 7". The second piece is a monthly statement on letterhead dated September 1883. Both pieces are addressed to John C. M. Laughlin of Wadesboro, North Carolina. Walker, Evans, and Cogswell was a major publishing company in the South. They were also a major printer during the Civil War. Good. Item #36024
