The Second Edition. Wraps. Disbound, printed, stitched wraps. [1], 60 pages. Light edge wear and creases to the front cover. "No 7" written top of the title page. On the verso of the title page is the printed statement - "This pamphlet is reprinted at the Request of the "London Society for Mitigating and gradually Abolishing the state of Slavery throughout the British dominions," and at their suggestion, the extracts from Foreign Authors have been translated."
The British author is critical of Say's who ignores the true cost of Slavery in his work on Political Economy. Hodgson advocates for the abolishment of Slavery. Adam Hodgson was the author of "Remarks During A Journey Through North America in the Years 1819, 1820, and 1821, in A Series of Letters" published in 1823. The first edition of this work was also published in 1823. Britain abolished slavery in 1833.
