First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. Restored. Defective. Missing the original outer wrap, frontispiece engraving of Hood, and the title page with Richmond 1863 imprint. First original page is the Introduction. A very good reproduction (facsimile) title page with the Richmond imprint is supplied. This page is lightly foxed. Introduction page following the title page toned with a few spots and is dissimilar to the title page appearance. 166 of 168 pages text pages are present. Missing the last 2 pages consisting of additional index content. 2 plate illustrations in text are present. Text block professionally rebound in three quarter leather with brownish marbled paper covered boards and end sheets. Raised bands and leather title label on the spine. Binding in very good condition. Contents include Battle of Fredicksburg, list of casualties, and a Muster Roll of the 4th Texas Regiment. Extremely scarce in any condition.
