Dark blue cloth hardcover stamped in blind on the covers with gilt title on the spine. Light edge wear to the cloth corners and spine. Cracked hinges. Old repairs made to the front and rear hinges with the rear flyleaf pasted onto the rear paste down. Occasional light foxing to the contents. "Property of Olive D. Cander Saymore Ct...." written on the front past down. Another inscription by Olive Cander written on the right front flyleaf. This is only the first volume of Cothren's mammoth compilation that resulted in 2 more volumes. Complete volume. First edition.
