Privately Printed. Hardcover. Octavo. xxvi, 662 pages, [1]. Illustrated with photographs, maps and several folding maps. Green cloth hardcover with title on the spine. Former institutional copy from the Long Island Historical Society with illustrated bookplate on the front paste down and blind embossed circle stamp on the title page. The cloth is chipped or torn head of the spine and on the bottom front corner. Name of "Frank Hugh Foster Oberlin, O." originally written in pencil top of the title page and then covered over with his name in ink. Both authors signed the title page. On the blank verso of the dedication page is a handwritten note in ink by Frank H. Foster - "Note. The additions and corrections in ink and type, in this copy, were made by the authors, in Middlefield, July fifth, 1930. F.H.F." Sporadic hand corrections and additions start around page 370. A tipped in news clipping about the removal of the Deacon Ingham House is located on page 510. A typed correction? relating to the Metcalf family pasted down on page 553. Good. Item #26728
