Photograph. 9" x 7" photograph card with yellow, typed, description at the bottom of the card. Photograph card has a few edge chips. The picture is chipped in the upper right corner. A couple of small pin holes at the very bottom of the card. Fair condition.
Camp George Thomas was used by the U.S. Army for training recruits to fight in the 1898 Spanish American War. It was closed by the Government in 1898 (according to online internet sources). However it was still used in some capacity after 1898 as judged by the dated picture. Fair. Item #26288
