Limited Edition. Hardcover. Miniature book. Approx. 3" x 2.5". [3], 35 pages. Frontispiece illustration of a cow. Velvet cloth hardcover with title on the spine. White dust jacket with title on front and cow portrait on the back of the jacket. Some light faded spots to the cloth. Light toning to the white verso of the jacket. Benjamin Waterhouse wrote this plea in in Cambridge, April 3d, 1816. This is a limited, numbered, signed copy. Limited to 150 copies this is number 35 and signed by Budd Westreich. Written in response to Smallpox outbreaks during the period Waterhouse lived. Waterhouse quotes "God will not help them, who will help themselves" and states "What period so favorable for co-operating with the beneficent design of Providence as this ?" Good + / good +.
