Leather bound. 12mo. Approx. 6.75" x 4". 110 pages, [1]. Illustrated. Black leather hardcover with gilt stamped title "Soldier's Hand Book U.S.A. Revised" on the front cover. Paper label pasted down on the front cover has an ink stamped name of "James F. Fraser" and hand written "12-2 Coast art. " Marbled paper edges. Light rubs to the leather binding. Contents include index in front that covers requirements and aspects of a Soldiers life. Pages 94-110 contain printed form pages with lined spaces for recording hand written clothing records, Military Service (left blank), and "The Last Testament and Will" (also left blank). James F. Fraser hand written name with a line marked through the word "Regiment" and replaced with the words "Coast art" is located at the top of page 94. Fraser received his clothing Feb. 5th in Binghamton, N.Y. from G. H. Roach Major 28 Infantry R.O. Soon after Fraser received clothing on Feb. 8, 1904. A stamp from Fort Slocumb, N.Y. is located below the list of clothing received. The record is signed by C, E. Morton 1st Lt. 16th Inf. A 1918 and 1919 calendar card is laid inside the front cover.
