[8] pages of advertisements, photographs, with a 1 page, double column introduction titled "Colorado Springs In 1898" by the author tipped in preceding the frontispiece, 85 pages, [4] pages of tipped in advertisements, [1]. Gray cloth covered boards with gilt title on the front cover and an advertisement for the "Sante Fe Route" printed on the back cover. The spine and joint edges are covered in green cloth. Blue printed advertisement on the front paste down. On the rear paste down is a printed advertisement "Sunrise at From Pike's Peak" with a sunrise color illustration, approx. 4" x 6.5", pasted on the rear paste down. Illustrated with frontispiece photogravure of "In South Cheyenne Canon." Illustrations from photographs done by the W. H. Jackson Photo and Publishing Company in Denver Colorado. Photogravures done by the New York Photo-gravure Company. The front cover is worn and darkened with chipping to the edges. Light spotting on the back cover. Light edge wear to the green cloth head and base of the spine. End sheets are toned. Edge wear to the boards. Hinges are sturdy and contents are clean. Antlers Hotel business card of "Edwin D. 'Wattson' Colorado Springs, Colorado" pasted down in the center of the right front flyleaf. Good. Item #25347
