Gilt stamped name of Louisa G. Peasley on the front cover. Repairs made to journal. Front board has been reattached. Front and rear hinges repaired. Leather at head and base of spine and right front lower corner patched. 96 pages (including 4 laid in smaller note pages) used to record hand written histories of families associated with the Peasley's. There are 25 hand-colored illustrated 'Heraldic Coat of Arms' on tissue paper inserted between the pages. A large chip to one hand colored Coat of Arms illustration. Contents of journal also include 3 pasted down pictures of homes; a reproduction of the Duke of Ormond painting in the London National Portrait Gallery; an envelope pasted down on rear end sheet containing a house photograph, CDV Coat of Arms, a clipped illustration of an old home; and one hand written note.
