Original gray printed wraps rebound in blue cloth with gilt title on the spine. New front and rear end sheets. "Duplicate" written in pencil on the newer right front flyleaf. Original front wrap is present and is cleanly detached. Name of "John Schuyler? Secretary" written top of the front cover. Opposite the frontispiece is the statement - "This edition, printed June, 1885, consists of two hundred copies on Holland paper, and three copies on Vellum, all of which are numbered and signed. This copy is No. 22. [signed by] Wm A. Courtenay Charleston, S. C., 28th June, 1885. Presented to The State Society of the Cincinnati of New York." On the rear paste down is a stamp "Bound Nov 26 1956 N.Y.H.S." Interior contents are in very good condition.
