Opposite the frontispiece is the statement - "This edition, printed June, 1885, consists of two hundred copies on Holland paper, and three copies on Vellum, all of which are numbered and signed. This copy is No. 22. [signed by] Wm A. Courtenay Charleston, S. C., 28th June, 1885. Presented to The State Society of the Cincinnati of New York." On the rear paste down is a stamp "Bound Nov 26 1956 N.Y.H.S." Interior contents are in very good condition.
