The letter is dated July 28, 1955 and is addressed to Mrs. P. G. Shook, Jr. Shades Mountain Birmingham, Alabama. Halifax was England's Ambassador to America during World War II. Contents cover the various places the Ambassador and his wife toured in Alabama including Montgomery, Birmingham, Tuskegee, etc. Publication also covers the dinner proceedings of Newcomen Society.
