Item #23232 I Tried Everything Once. James W. "Taxi" Smith.

I Tried Everything Once

n.p. Self published, n.d.

Spiral bound. Tall plastic comb bound soft cover with blue title on the front cover. 154 pages. A couple of the plastic spirals are loose. This self published memoir is full of unique stories experienced by the author mostly in Georgia. He was born in Taylorsville, Georgia and attended Georgia Tech. In the late 1920's he moved to Albany and practiced law. One of his stories concerned a case that the NAACP got involved in regarding Oscar Jordan. Unfortunately the story ends on page 112 mid sentence (no missing pages). Later Smith was on the board of the Georgia Port Authority and after World War II he entered politics. A copied photograph of two unidentified men in military uniform laid inside the book. Obscure and unique with a few flaws. Good. Item #23232

Price: $50.00
