First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. [2], iv, 248 pages. Brown cloth covered boards. Brown leather spine with title. Restored. Front board detached and re-hinged with brown mulberry paper. Joints are cracked upper spine. Front and rear hinges repaired with tissue. Edge wear to the head and base of the spine and corners. Text has light to moderate persistent foxing and light to moderate damp stains throughout. The title page has a chip upper right corner with no loss of print. Two inscriptions written on the front end sheets: "J.B. Guntner Staunton Va" on the front paste down and "Hugh Frey (Fray) to J.B. Guntner Richmond, Va March 10/66". "J.B. Guntner Staunton Va" written in pencil on the rear paste down. Confederate imprint.
