Later printing. Leather bound. 16mo. Approx. 5.5" x 3". [12], 517 pages, [27] pages. A leave was torn out following the last print text and printers device on page 27 (not numbered) in back. A rear blank end sheet follows the torn out leave and both rear end papers are present. Period sheepskin leather binding with some chipping to extremities and light cracking to hinges (still holding). Title page chipped on the edge with minor loss. Toning to the contents and occasional light brown stains. Pages 275 and 276 chipped lower corner with slight loss of print. Christoph Saur was the first printer in America to print in the German language. The present work contains devotional hymns, poems, etc. Colonial imprint. First published in America 1747.
