Illustration by Eugene E. Kessell. Most of the articles in this first issue cover the life of Alston in the later 1800's including his service as Colonel in the Confederate army. He was killed in a duel in 1879. Robert C. Alston contributed an article regarding the commutation of Leo Frank's sentence. A couple of loose (non related to this issue) items including a copied map of Decatur and illustrations of previous Courthouses laid inside the issue. Very good. Item #17518
