Brown cloth hardcover with blind stamped borders, designs, and gilt illustration on the front cover. Title and decorations on the spine. The yellow front end sheets are chipped bottom edge. Small ink stain bottom text edge. Light to moderate occasional light foxing and toning to the contents. Previous owner inscription on the right front flyleaf - "James Gardner - Esq. Augusta, Ga 1856". In the far upper left corner of the front paste down is a bookseller ticket "From Thos Richards and Son...Augusta, Geo." James Gardner was the owner and editor of the Augusta (Georgia) Constitutionalist in the mid 19th century. Good. Item #16979
