This is the first issue of the Doughboy. Camp Benning (Fort Benning) is located near Columbus, Georgia. The Camp was established in 1909 and named after Confederate General Henry Benning. Dwight D. Eisenhower was at Camp Benning from 1918-1919. Camp Benning was renamed Fort Benning in 1922. Good. Item #16934
