First Edition. Wraps. Wraps. Approx. 7.5" x 5". 36 pages, [1] page blank. Printed, stitched, brown wraps. Wraps rebound in Gaylord stiff covers and bound by staples and blue linen tape. Ex-library copy from the "General Staff College U.S. Army" with their label pasted down on the verso of the front cover. 'Withdrawn' stamped on the label. Perforated stamp on the title page. Library markings top of page 3 with 3 punch holes pages 3 and 4 (very slight loss of printed text). "Duplicate" stamped several times on the right front flyleaf. This copy has several corrections to the dates printed on the the outer wrap, title page, and on the front of the later Gaylord cover. According to the hand corrections the Register is from 1835 not 1833 (the printed dates of 1833 are kept in this description). Also a correction was made to the printer information on the title page: "Blair & Rives" instead of just Blair. Register sections include General Officers, Medical and Pay Department, Engineers, Dragoons, Cavalry Regiments, Artillery and Infantry Regiments, list of Graduates of the Military Academy, Academy Staff, Resignations, Death, etc. First two Generals listed is Major General Winfield Scott and Edmund P. Gaines. Signed at the bottom of page 33 by Adjutant General R. Jones (name listed on page 3). Fair. Item #16870
