A small dent and scuff mark to the spine. Most likely this copy is an "Association Copy." Inscription (barely legible) written on the right front flyleaf reads, "From Mrs. A. J. A - E. (middle initial?), (last name?) (word?) (word?) Fort Meade Feby 94." Mrs. A. J. A. the wife of General A. J. Alexander. Mrs. A. J. Alexander is mentioned in the introduction and appears to have played an important role in establishing a Christian mission at Sacaton, Arizona (Pima Reservation). Very good. Item #16562
