Diary. Approx. 6" x 4" pocket notebook. 34 pages. Red soft cover with an Eagle, title "Notes", and Compliments of The Coca-Cola Bottling Co. on the front cover. A 1943 calendar is printed on the verso of the front cover. No owner identified. The owner recorded brief notes and entries from March 1944 and to February 1945. The owner sectioned the lined pages into 12 or 11 squares. Each month is written in the top upper right corner. The pages with the months only have 11 squares. 10 of the pages have light damp-stains and small amount of smudges to pages. Inside the squares are brief notes with words, phrases, activities, locations, etc. This note book appears to be a daily record of a soldier in training with mention of training bases, target practice, "box of cake & candy from lil", "In field", traveling, furlough, Lillian's Birthday (April 26), "pound of tobacco from Sister Ann", New Jersey bases such as Fort Dix and several others, etc. Good.
