Original red leather label pasted down on new spine. Light damp-stains to pages. Previous owner business stamp "Wm. Miller Real Estate Broker, Fort Wayne, Ind" located on both front end sheets. Last two blank pages have old pencil hand written math. William Boudinot was the son of Elias Boudinot, former Cherokee Chief in Georgia. W. P. Ross was the nephew of Cherokee Chief John Ross. After Ross died, W. P. Ross was elected principal chief by the Cherokee National Council and served a one year term from 1866-1867. He was replaced the following year by Lewis Downing. Good.
