First Edition. Hardcover. Slim octavo. 100 pages. Frontispiece photograph signed by the author. Blue cloth hardcover with silver title on the front cover. A thin crack to the front hinge. Previous owners address label pasted down in the upper left corner of the front paste down (Mrs. M. L. Begeman Austin, Texas). Pasted down on both front end sheets is an one page letter by the author written on official P.E.O. letterhead. The letter dated Oct. 16 1945 thanks Mrs. Begeman for purchasing this book. The letter has a small tear just over the front hinge. Gem clipped to the rear end sheet is another signed note by the author which is addressed to Mary. The P.E.O. Sisterhood (Philanthropic Educational Organization) is a U.S.-based international women's organization of about 230,000 members, with a primary focus on providing educational opportunities for female students worldwide.
